Through the Decision of the Council of Ministers 1625/1955, the Cheile-Caraşului Mixed Reserve with an area of 800 ha is declared for the first time.
1973
By Ministerial Order 2974/1973, the Izvoarele Nerei Forest Reserve is declared for the first time.
1982
By Decree 499/1982 the Buhui-Marghitas Mixed Reserve, the Izvoarele Carașului Mixed Reserve, the Cheile Gârlistei Mixed Reserve, the Groposu Forest Reserve and the Izvoarele Nera Reserve are reconfirmed for the first time.
1990
By Ministerial Order no. 7/27.01.1990 the limits and boundaries of the National Park as well as the integral reservations are established.
1991
The Reşita Speleological Association prepares the Foundation Study, proposing new speleological reserves: Spera Sport, Rasuflatoarei Cave, Frumoasa Cave, Ramonei Cave, 2 Mai Cave, Exploratorii ’85 Cave.
1993
Through the Verbal Process of 1993 concluded between ICAS Caransebeş and the Reşiţa Forestry Directorate on the occasion of the realization of the new arrangement for the Văliug Forestry Detour, the Bârzăviţa Reserve loses this status.
1994
By Decision of the Caraş-Severin County Council no. 8/1994, the Semenic-Cheile Caraşului National Park is reconfirmed with the following component reservations:

1994
The University of Bucharest, based on the contract signed with the Central Environment Authority, prepares the "Fundamental Study of the Anina Mountain Biosphere Reserve".
1995
Through the Verbal Process no. 76/10.05.1995 concluded between ICAS Caransebeş and the Reşita Forest Directorate on the occasion of the realization of the new arrangement for the Nera Forest Bypass, the functional categories of the forest included in the reservation were changed.
By the appearance of Law no. 137/1995, HCJ CS no. 8/1994 becomes null and void

By Law no. 5/2000 the Semenic-Cheile Caraşului National Park is reconfirmed with the following natural reserves/monuments as components:

The Reşita Environmental Protection Inspectorate, the Reşita Forest Directorate and the County Council are revising the boundaries of the Semenic-Cheile Caraşului National Park and its component reserves.
